At 10:00 a.m. on April 10, Academician Didier Astruc, a senior foreign teacher of Sichuan University, gave an academic lecture entitled "Ferrocene Dendrimers" to graduate students in the 215 lecture hall of Leather Building, Wangjiang Campus. The lecture was presided over by Yang Li. Professor Youjie He and Professor Haibin Gu attended the lecture.

At the beginning of the lecture, Academician Didier Astruc briefly reviewed the history of ferrocene and introduced the research achievements of famous scientists in this field. Then the synthesis and characterization methods of dendrimers containing ferrocene were introduced, especially the redox reactivity and electrochemical properties of ferrocene. Finally, Didier Astruc introduced the applications of ferrocene-based dendrimers in catalysis, molecular recognition and drug delivery. Through this report, students learned the ideas and methods of scientific research, and understanded the rigorous attitude of scientists in academic research, and broadened their horizons. During the question session, the students spoke enthusiastically and discussed actively with Didier Astruc.
