On the evening of June 21, 2018, the 2018 graduation and awarding ceremony of college of Light Industry, Textile & Food Engineering in Sichuan University was held in the concert hall on the second floor of the wenhua activity center.

Academician Bi Shi, member of the Degree Evaluation Committee of Sichuan University, chairman of the sub-committee of the college of Light Industry, Textile & Food Engineering, Professor Xiangcheng Li, deputy secretary of the party committee and vice president of Sichuan University, Professor Qiang He, vice chairman the sub-committee of the college of Light Industry, Textile & Food Engineering, vice president of college, associate professor Xiaohu Liu, associate secretary of the party committee of college, member of the academic degree evaluation subcommittee of college  Professor Youjie He, Professor Rongqing Zhou, Professor Wei Lin, Professor Haojun Fan, Professor Zongliang Du and Professor Bin Yan attended the ceremony and took a seat on the rostrum. Teacher representatives, alumni representatives, parent representatives, student representatives, and all 2018 graduates attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Guotao Feng, deputy secretary of the party committee of the college.

The ceremony kicked off in the solemn voice of the national anthem.

On behalf of the party of the college, president Youjie He expressed his warm congratulations to 255 undergraduates, 85 master students and 8 doctoral students who successfully completed their studies and obtained a degree. He also expressed gratitude to all faculty members and parents who worked hard for the growth of their students. President He pointed out to the students that the new era has created a broad space for students to develop. The great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has pointed out the direction of struggle for the students.He hoped that the students would have a high morale and give back to the society, stand on the ground, work hard and never give up. And welcome to come back to their alma mater. The president wishes all graduates to find the right position in the new journey of life, seize the opportunity, and create brilliant achievements worthy of the great era in the new post.

Secretary Xiaohu Liu read out the "2018 Excellent Graduates of the College of Light Industry, Textile & Food Engineering" and the "2018 Graduate Alumni Work Grade Contact Person Appointment Decision". Secretary Xiangcheng Li awarded the award certificate to the students who won the outstanding graduates of the 2018 Sichuan Province. Professor Qiang He issued the letter of appointment for the 2018 graduate alumni work liaison. Academician Bi Shi read the "Decision on the Grant of 2018 Graduates of the College of Light Industry, Textile & Food Engineering."

Graduate representative, clothing and costume design professional student,  Yanqing Ma reviewed the experience of college of Light Industry, Textile & Food Engineering in Sichuan University in the past four years, thanked the school and the college culture for their profound influence, and called all the graduates to bravely pursue the infinite possibilities.

The 2015 grade food science and engineering student Qianda Xu recalled the bits and pieces shared with the classmates. She hoped to live up to the help and expectation the teachers and seniors through continuous efforts to study, and quote Qichao Liang’s "The future is like the sea, we have a long time" to blessed all graduates happy graduation.

Alumni representative, 2003 undergraduate student majoring in textile engineering, 2007 graduate student in materials science, director of the School of Industry and Education of Jinjiang College of Sichuan University, secretary of the Communist Youth League, and deputy director of the Student Affairs Department, Comrade Yang Luo reviewed the learning life of the school. Through his ten years of work experience he encouraged his younger brothers and sisters to adjust their role as soon as possible. Don't be afraid to fail or miss opportunities. To stand the test of time and baptism, maintain their love and gratitude for life.

Associate Dean of the Agricultural Products Processing Research Institute of Sichuan University, Associate Professor Zhifeng Zhao of the 2014 Class 2 of Food Science and Engineering, as a teacher representative, expressed the hope that the students will carefully summarize the learning experience and prepare for future development, and also keep in touch with the teachers and classmates and cherish this unforgettable college time.
