From August 18 to 19, 2018, the 2018 annual meeting of the national key research and development project "Key Enzyme Preparations and Biotechnology and Application Demonstration of Leather (2017YFB0308400)" undertaken by Sichuan University was successfully held at the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education for Sustainable Development of Bioenergy in Chenggong Campus of Yunnan Normal University. Yongzhi Li, director of China Light Industry Federation, attended the meeting. The project, and sub-project leaders and financial experts attended the meeting, which are from Yunnan Normal University, Qilu University of Technology, Tianjin University of Science and Technology, Jiangnan University, Sichuan Dowell Technology Co., Ltd. etc.

The annual meeting of the project was co-hosted by Prof. Biyu Peng and Prof. Zunxi Huang. Director Yongzhi Li delivered a speech. Then, Prof. Biyu Peng, the program leader, reviewed the project's application process and further elaborated the project's tasks and requirements. The participating units of the project reported the research work and the preliminary results obtained since the project was established. The program leaders Prof. Zunxi Huang and Prof. Biyu Peng respectively summarized the annual implementation of project 1 and project 2 and explained the follow-up work plan. Finally, the paper analyzed and exchanged the problems arising in the implementation process of the project and each subject organization, and initially formed the solution and project follow-up implementation plan, and formed the meeting minutes.

The meeting was successfully held, summed up and forecasted the progress of the project, and further strengthened the communication and exchanges between the participating units, which is of great significance to promote the smooth progress of the project follow-up plan
